Hall's Homestay, Nakuru

hall's homestayTrevor Hall and his family have an amazing bungalow on the lower slopes of the hill leading to Menengai crater. This 4 bed-roomed bungalow is situated in a tree-lined avenue in Milimani, one of the best residential areas in Nakuru and only 15 minutes from the Central Business District.

The Hall’s have been hosting guests for the past two years and their homestay offers a fine blend of European-African culture. Trevor is a British and has a Kenyan wife Lynne Hall with a beautiful 17 month old daughter.

Menengai Crater is the 2nd largest volcanic caldera in the world and its finest feature is that guests can actually hike down and explore the floor on foot. The crater holds a wealth of rare bird species, dikdiks, hyenas, baboons and other nocturnal animals.

Get transported 3,000 years back into the pre-historic period of East Africa’s people with a visit to the Hyrax pre-historic site or check out the Rift Valley lakes (Elementaita, Nakuru & Naivasha) from a hot-air balloon. End it all at the best geyser location in Africa, Lake Bogoria and carry some eggs just for the fun of it.
