GeeGee's Homestay, Uganda

Located amongst the rolling hills of South-western Uganda is GeeGee’s Homestay, an upcountry homestay which offers family friendly accommodation and is some distance from the the Kampala – Kabale - Kigali main road. The hosts, George and Getrude are willing to share their home and culture with guests and provide them with a difficult-to-forget unique experience.

Guests who want an authentic & rural Ugandan home experience would do well at GeeGee’s as they offer opportunities like mango & avocado picking, milking cows, chopping firewood, peeling beans & bananas and collecting water in a jerry can from the water point.

This farmstay does not have running water or electricity so be prepared to forget about your smartphones and tablets during your stay. It’s ideally suited for short and long term volunteers and tourists who want to rest for a couple of days before continuing on their south for a mountain gorilla safari or visiting Rwanda, Burundi or the Democratic republic of Congo. Visitors can rest and relax or opt to volunteer in the local schools and hospitals.
